Recycling by
Jones Estate Cleanouts
Jones Estate Cleanouts is actively engaged in recycling not only cardboard, glass, and metal but wood and plastic as well so these items do not take up space in a landfill or contaminate our envirnment. We take all the hard work out of seperation of what is recyclable and what is not. The customer need not worry about anything. We organize, seperate, and package the recyclables for the various recipients. You need not worry if your town does not have a recycling program either, we will make sure the items are taken care of properly.
Steel, Aluminum, & Other Metals :
In the year of 2007 Jones Estate Cleanouts recycled over 22,000 pounds of metals including iron, steel, aluminum, copper, and brass. Aluminum is the most common element in the Earth's Crust but it is always found combined with other minerals. Refining raw aluminum ore (usually in the form of Bauxite) is extremely costly in terms of energy consumption, so when we recycle aluminum and other metals, we save the environment in several different ways.
Cardboard and Paper :
We have improved our recycling techniques for paper and cardboard and in 2007, we recycled approximately 28,000 pounds of cardboard and paper in the year of 2007. For every ton of paper we recycled, we saved approximately 17 trees. One ton is equal to 2,000 pounds, so in 2007, Jones Estate Cleanouts saved approximately 238 trees from being turned into paper.
Reducing Bulk Solid Waste:
The amount of large bulk waste is reduced by either attempting to first sell used furniture or donating unsalable pieces to charitable organizations or groups in need of various household items. Most clothing we recycle is donated to various charities and charitable organizations. Unfortunately we do not accept jobs that consist of just construction debris, landscaping rubbish, or remodeling waste.
Additional information:
Jones Estate Cleanouts believes in recycling not only because it reduces our costs and the customer's costs but because it preserves our environment for future generations. We are and have always been a responsible member of the community and plan to increase ways in which we serve all of Northern New Jersey, its community, and its environment.
